Caitlin & Jeffrey – May 11, 2013
When everyone woke up that day, we saw that the weather was iffy. So much so, that when we arrived at Caitlin’s house, we saw that she had a rosary wrapped around the light post to keep the weather nice! Even though the day had some on and off rain showers, it definitely did not put a damper on the wedding at all! Caitlin and Jeffrey were the ultimate couple who really enjoyed their wedding day and all that it had to offer.
The day began at Caitlin’s house where we arrived to get some bridal prep footage, and when we walked in, we were greeted by the cutest little boy wearing white sunglasses that read “Team Bride” which was adorable! The house was filled with bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done, and Caitlin doing the same. Her florist arrived with gorgeous bouquets out white and pink roses, with touches or an earthy green. Also, the florist noted that she added some Lilly of the Valley flowers for a hint of spring, and she helped Caitlin add a personalized decorative piece (made by a friend of Jeffrey) to the handle of her bouquet. The morning moved quickly as excitement was brewing, and finally Caitlin got into her dress which was beautiful of course, it even had a little bling which I love. Once the white, stretch limo showed up, we knew it was time to get the show on the road…
The ceremony took place at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in North Providence. We there a bit early so we could get some detail shots of the church and some footage of Jeffrey and his groomsmen. Guests arrived and took their seats as the limo pulled up with the other half of the bridal party. Caitlin walked down the aisle hand in hand with both of her parents, as Jeffrey stared at how pretty she looked! The couple decided to do a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle, and guests watched as they made their vows to one another! Although Caitlin was a bit teary eyed during her vows, she managed to laugh and cry them out with the comfort of Jeffrey. After the ceremony, the couple had to take a few formal photos with their dogs that were super cute, and very happy to see them! Photographer and good friend, Dave Bibeault set up some nice shots at Kirkbrae Country Club, even though we had to wrestle with the rain for a bit. While Caitlin and Jeffrey finished up their formals, my assistant Jocelyn took some nice detail shots of the reception room that had tall centerpieces on each table adorned with beautiful roses and draped with pearls! The room at Kirkbrae looked great, and who could forget the cake which had tons of sugar flowers in between each tier!
There were a few unforgettable things throughout the night, first being that the photo booth was awesome! I think quite possibly, every single guest enjoyed taking pictures and using all of the funky props that made the photo booth that much more fun. Every time I turned around there were crowds of people with feather boas, fake mustaches, beads, and hats! I am sure the couple is going to love the pics! Also, I must mention the flash mob that erupted during Caitlin’s dance with her dad! It was really clever how it was all planned out too! During their dance, Caitlin and her dad had their song fade into Barry White’s, “My Everything.” The rest of Caitlin’s family jumped onto the dance floor and proceeded to do their synchronized dance which was an officially opened the dance floor for the night. The last thing that stood out at this wedding was that everyone danced the night away. DJ Jay from Music Machine did a great job keeping the dance flow going, and from young to old, everyone was on that dance floor, including Caitlin and Jeffrey! Over all, despite the hiccups with the rain, the day/night was amazing, and I wish the best to Caitlin and Jeffrey! Check out their recap below!
